Details matter.

The decayed deck structure structured pictured above was about ten years old and in need of replacement. Short lifespans in modern deck structures are not uncommon, and one reason for this is that the use of toxic (yet highly effective) chromated arsenicals for the pressure treatment of lumber was halted in 2003. Fortunately, we can prevent premature decay and “bounce” in a deck by using construction details that are above and beyond the basic requirements of the building code.

You owe it to yourself to hire a builder who will do the little things to make sure that your investment will pay off in the long run. My commitment to you is that I will take the same painstaking care in the beauty and appearance of your deck as I will with its structural integrity.

Sincerely,
